With food there are many combinations that just make sense. Things such as bread and butter, buffalo chicken wings and blue cheese, and tomatoes and basil. Salty and sweet is another classic combo, as is peanut butter with chocolate, making this dessert pure perfection. Seriously this cannot be beat.
Peanut Butter Cookie Bars with Pretzels and Marshmallows
1 peanut butter cookie mix (suggested betty crocker)
1/3 c canola oil
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 c chocolate chips (dairy free: enjoy life)
1 c pretzels, crushed
1/2 c mini marshmallows
1 tbs coconut oil
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9 inch square pan with non-stick spray and parchment paper. Mix cookie mix with canola oil and egg. Fold in 1 c chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, and mini marshmallows. Place cookie mixture into 9 inch pan evenly. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool completely. In a microwave safe bowl add remaining 1/2 c chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave for 30 second, then in intervals of 20 seconds until chocolate has melted. Drizzle over the top of the cookie bars. Slice into bars.
